When you visit our showroom, the team will be happy to guide you through your options and show you what we have in stock. We are 'Fensa Registered.' What does Fensa stand for? Fensa is the Fenestration Self Assessment Scheme. The scheme was set up by the Glass and Glazing Federation, in partnership with some industrybodies, after the government launched the new Building Regulations for double glazing companies. Do I need a Fensa Certificate? If the installer is FENSA registered they may issue a Fensa Certificate in lieu of a Building Regulations Completion Certificate... if the installer is not FENSA registered then the work must be inspected by the building control and a Completion Certificate obtained. Can I get a FENSA certificate if I fit my own windows? A FENSA registered installer can issue you with a certificate to say they comply if they fit them. If you do it yourself, you have to apply to your local building regs people (council,) they will come out, inspect the windows, and issue you with the certificate if they comply. Do I need a FENSA certificate for Windows? If your installer is not registered with FENSA any works that include replacing windows, doors and roof lights will require you to get a certificate from  the Local Authority Building Control instead. Do I need a FENSA certificate for a front door? If you replace windows and/or doors of 50% glass or more in the main body of the building they should have a FENSA certificate. To help you work out if your installation requires a certificate see the information in the next 2 paragraphs. Is a FENSA certificate compulsory? Installation of a conservatory, orangery or porch does not require a FENSA Registration from a FENSA Registered Business in England or Wales so therefore no FENSA certificate is necessary. What is a FENSA certificate? This is a scheme set up to ensure that all windows comply with building regulations,. Enables window installers to certify that windows comply without the need for a local authority inspection. Saves time as well as ensuring greater compliance.
